Who we are

This is the website of Marcel Mulders, a software developer and co-founder of MJ Hub, a business consulting studio based in Southampton. MJ Hub ("we", "us") is responsible for the personal information collected through this site.

If you have a question about this policy or your information, get in touch through the contact page.

What we collect and why

Enquiries

When you send a message from the contact page, or request a quote from the website cost estimator, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), your message and, for quotes, the options you picked. We use these only to reply and to talk about your project.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the enquiry you sent, or taking steps you asked for before we agree any work. We keep enquiries for 90 days, then delete them.

Analytics

If you switch on "Statistics and analytics" in the cookie settings, Google Analytics records the pages you visit, roughly where you're visiting from and the kind of device you use. We use it only to see which parts of the site are useful. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Services we use

  • Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. On the contact and estimate pages, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is being sent by a person, and a Cloudflare Worker passes your enquiry on to us. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics receives information about your visit, only if you switch analytics on. Google Signals and ad personalisation are turned off. Google's privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts supplies the fonts for some of the site's themes. Your browser downloads them from Google, which receives your IP address. It doesn't set cookies.
  • Unsplash supplies the background photo in the Professional theme, and skillicons.dev supplies the technology icons. Your browser downloads these images directly, so those services receive your IP address. Neither sets cookies.

International transfers

Cloudflare and Google may process information in the United States. Both are certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the UK-US data bridge), which is the safeguard relied on for those transfers.

Cookies and browser storage

Necessary cookies and storage are always on, because the site needs them to stay secure and to do what you ask. Analytics cookies are only set if you switch analytics on.
